Savannah, Summer Shade Fest, Week 18

This was a good week. Mom came down to Savannah with me while I attended the Georgia Environmental Conference. Mom walked all over Savannah while I was at the conference. I took an afternoon off to shop together. It was a very nice time. My co-workers David and Allison also attended. We had a company booth and went to different sessions. I was able to learn about the Atlanta Beltline from the folks planning it. I am so excited about it! It will expand Atlanta's parks by 40% and create more trails all around the city. The southern end will be just south of Grant Park. I don't have any photos from Savannah (that's my fault) but hopefully Mom will email me some photos and I can add them.
This weekend marked the beginning of week 18 and the Grant Park Summer Shade Festival. If you didn't go to the festival this year, mark it for your calendars next year. Jim and I strolled the artist market. The King of Pops was there - delicious!! We saw some amazing artwork by a Japanese artist Manami. There were also some great jewelry and cute baby onesies. The onesies had little baby yogis in happy baby pose-very cute! We didn't buy anything although I do enjoy supporting local artists. We love living in Grant Park. The festival was full of kids, families, strollers, and all sorts of folks. We could walk there, which made it even better. We took a picnic dinner back to the festival around 7:30 and listened to the last band play. It was a cover band that played music such as Otis Redding, Pretty Woman, I Feel Good, and Papa was a Rolling Stone. I liked watching the old hippie dude dancing!
This week I have felt Baby Paisley move a lot. Especially at night or when I am slouching or bending over. I can feel it on the right hand side. Jim is convinced it is a little girl. We find out Friday! I can't wait. Little Anna Kate or James Warren.

Today we went to Renovation Church on Hill Street on the other side of Grant Park with our friends Kristen and Brian. The pastor lives two blocks from us and we ran into him and his family at the festival yesterday. So we decided to go to his church today. We like Renovation Church and call it the rock-n-roll church. Other times we attend All Saints Episcopal, the highly traditional church. It's a good mix!
