Today was such a good day! James is all warmed up and off the cooling treatment. He is making typical little baby movements. He had a BIG day. He had an MRI, his first bottle, and bath. They removed the wires and gauze from his head today too.
We met Grandma Giltner (Jim's mom) at the hospital and she told us how well he was doing. We were so relieved to hear the news. Father John from our church visited with us and prayed for James. Whitney and Nick visited with us and got to meet the baby. Kristen and Brian brought lunch and goodies for us and visited in the afternoon. It is so wonderful to have our friends.
Surrender. The word has been with me this week. I thought I was in control of my neatly planned life, but God has other plans for me. This month my company closed the Atlanta office and I will be unemployed. Then I gave birth to a baby and he needed to be in the NICU. Complete surrender to all my plans and organized life to God. It feels like I should be in a freefall but it's the opposite. I'm not in the driver's seat anymore.
We are so blessed with James. Our friends and family and the love and support we have are just amazing.
