James is one month old!

On Wednesday James turns one month old. It started off rough but has grown to be just wonderful. He is officially out of newborn size clothes and in 3 month clothes. That started today when I put him in  newborn pajamas and he couldn't stretch his legs out all the way. He is so long that I'm not surprised. He is getting stronger and has more control of his head. He's going down for naps better but is still quite fussy in the late afternoons and evenings. Poor Jim--that's usually when he is on baby duty. James is focusing on our faces and is practicing his smile. This morning he found his thumb and put it in his mouth. He's doing so great! It's so challenging living in 3 hour increments. While he's sleeping I make sure to eat and get done any "chores" that need to be done for the day--like blogging! I only get up with him once at night, which is great. Pretty soon I think he'll be sleeping through the night.
