Dad's Birthday Lunch

This past weekend was just perfect. On Saturday we went to the Inman Park Festival in the afternoon. James took a 3 hour nap that day and we had to wake him up so we could go! That was the 2nd day in a row he took such an epic nap. He has never done that before and I hope he keeps it up. The weather was perfect--cloudy and not too warm or cool. We walked around the festival and let James play around in the park. There's one picture of us at the park below. He played with another baby his age that went to Urban Explorers Preschool with him last summer. They were so cute. James loves to dance! He hears music and raises one arm and wiggles his hips. It is so adorable that I just can't stand it. He stopped at one vendor tent that was playing disco and showed his best John Travolta moves. He drew a small crowd! Too bad I didn't take pictures or video. :(

On Sunday we met Mom and Dad at the Canton Applebee's to celebrate Dad's 66th birthday. We had such a nice lunch. James did really well at the restaurant and showed off his dance moves. Here's some pictures.

Playing with Grandad

Happy Birthday Grandad!

James loves to play! We go to the playground nearly everyday, sometimes twice a day. He loves the swings and to climb up and down the small kids playset. He wasn't so sure about the mulch but he's getting better and more confident walking around on it. Inside he loves to be chased around the house. I jump out from behind a door or wall and "Boo!" He just giggles and giggles.

Yesterday he was a bit of a pill and threw a couple of tantrums after he got home from school. I think he was hungry and a little upset about going back to school after a nice, long weekend. I just politely ignored the hissy fit and kept playing or gave him a snack and it was better. It was early dinner and early bedtime last night!

This coming weekend Jim and I are going to Memphis! I'll take pictures and post all about it next week. We are going to stay at the Peabody and go to Graceland.
