Meetings

It's Monday and back to work. I logged 13.5 hours today. I got a brutal awakening by the project manager. He was knocking on everyone's door at the hotel and blowing up our phones before 6AM because we had a 6:30 meeting with the Captain. And when the Captain calls a meeting--you go!  So I didn't get the message until 6:04 and I scrambled to get ready. Today was a suit day so I had to get on my suit and heels and drag all my stuff to building 125 (about a 5 minute walk). I was early -- whew! We had our internal meeting and then it was time for the 9:00 meeting with the Government of Japan. It sounds so formal doesn't it? Can't you imagine all the Japanese men in there coat and tie bowing? Not so much. Less coats, less ties. And a woman! The meeting was interesting because everything had to be translated. Wow. That takes a lot of time especially when you are talking in technical terms. The meetings ended a little before 6PM. I needed a break so I had soup and leftovers in my room. (Our rooms have a fridge and microwave.) I needed my quiet time to myself. Then I packed up again and headed to the food court to help a co-worker get ready for tomorrow's meeting. At 9PM I called it quits. Only 3 more days of work and then a travel day. Tomorrow I have to be at building 125 at 8:00. That's much better. I'll get in a run along the sea wall before the meetings start. I realize the only time I have to exercise is before the work day begins. So be it.
Much love to all! I miss everyone back home!  Especially my puppies. I need some Josie kisses and Goofy hugs.
