Misadventures in Japan

I'm sitting at the Seattle airport in the middle of my travels to Japan. I'm traveling for work and will be in Japan from October 11-22. (You lose a day when you travel there because of the 13 hour time change.) My work will take me to Iwakuni City about 25 miles south of Hiroshima, 500 miles south of Tokyo. It'll take one car ride, three planes, and a shuttle to finally arrive at the Iwakuni Marine Corps Air Station. I get tired just thinking about it! I'm traveling for work, but I hope to break away from those duties and see some sites. There's a castle in Iwakuni and a famous bridge (I learned all this from Google maps!). My co-worker was there a couple of weeks ago and he traveled to Hiroshima to see the baseball team (Hiroshima Carps) play. I'm traveling with my boss and meeting the rest of the team in Tokyo before we fly to Hiroshima.
I'm glad I am not going to be alone, but it'll be lonely without my family or friends near.
I am going to try and post everyday, so check back often. I'll post pictures and video (if I can). I'll definitely send some video clips over Facebook if y'all care to see it.
I need to do a little work before our flight leaves for Tokyo.
