James loves music. He’s been dancing to the beat since
before he was born. He ran into his classroom this morning ready to dance! Ms.
Jene put on some kids music and they were dancing up a storm before I could
unpack his stuff. He loves to play on the piano, sing the Ho Hey song by The
Lumineers, and play the recorder. I tried to teach him to blow through the
recorder, but he thinks the sound comes from his mouth and he holds it upside
down. We named the recorder song “Daddy’s Song.”
James is getting bigger and smarter every day. Last night
after his bath he asked to go pee pee in his potty and he did it. We haven’t
started potty training; we only offer him the potty and tell him what it is.
But I think he’s watching the other kids in his class and is curious about it.
We have 10 or 11 weeks before Miss Anna arrives. I made a
schedule, of course, to get the nursery done. I think it’ll be done by the end
of February. There is a lot of rearranging to do. It’s tough when the guest
bedroom and closet was also the storage area. Time to donate our old stuff. And
we have a toddler and full time jobs that make getting things done a challenge
too. I plan on getting a lot of the organizing done during the week. Here's a couple of photos of us at Fellini's on Saturday.
Yesterday my friend Stacy and I walked the Hot Chocolate 5K.
It started and ended at Turner Field and our reward at the end was a bowl
filled with hot chocolate, chocolate fondue, marshmallow, cookies, and a
banana. The race was 75% women!!! We had a great time and it was really nice to
walk the entire thing.
Jim is staying very busy with his law practice. He has a jury trial this week, which doesn't happen very often. He is also growing the personal injury practice too. He works a lot of hours! But still manages to spend time with the family and have fun.
