James's Second Birthday!

Happy Second Birthday, James! What an amazing fun weekend we had with you. I took the day off for his birthday. James was born on Valentine's Day, so it is extra special. Even though I had already had Wednesday and Thursday off that week for snow days, I couldn't resist taking Friday off for his birthday. Work or play? Hmm. Tough question. I didn't want to look back in 1 year or 5 years and think how I had chosen to go to work for a few hours instead of spending time with James. James had his 2 year old checkup at the doctor. He's 36" tall and 28.5 pounds. Solid boy! After the doctor I took James to the zoo. There was still snow on the ground and some of the animals liked it. See the tiger! We gave James his first tricycle for his birthday. Can't wait to take it to the park when the weather improves.

 Happy Valentine's Day! We all went out to Ziba's to celebrate. Jim is such a wonderful husband and dad. Thanks for being my Valentine!

Happy Valentine's Day!

James's birthday party was on Saturday. We had about 30 people at our house including 10 kids. Jim and I hired a clown Mr. Greggy to entertain the kids. That was a smart move! The kids (especially those 2.5 years old and up) really liked it. We had a ton of food and cake. We are so blessed to have all our friends and family in life to celebrate James's birthday.

It's been a very long holiday/weekend. Today is President's Day--James's last day at home before school starts again. I'm looking forward to getting back into a normal routine again.
