New Year's Resolutions

It’s a New Year and time for a new entry. They say the early bird gets the worm and it’s about time that I’m the early bird. It seems I can’t get anything done when I decide to “sleep in” even just a little bit. Just a little bit means 7:00 AM. So starting next week (of course) it’s up and at ‘em. 6:30 AM seems to be the time when I can get James to school at 8:00 or just after, get to the gym, home, and work by 9:00.

That also means I can post more blog entries to mark the milestones in our lives. James is so cute. He is saying more and more words every day. His favorite word is “no.” We ask him, “James, do you like Elmo?” and he says “no.” But he LOVES Elmo!! He just says no to any question including "How old will you be next month?" He loves Baby Anna and loves to press on my outie belly button and listen to me giggle. He also kisses my belly.
The Monday before Christmas we took James to Stone Mountain and rode the lift to the top. It was cold and windy but very pretty.

James loved Santa Claus and Christmas this year. But he did not like Santa Claus in person and was very upset to sit on his lap! But he sure did like the presents Santa brought Christmas morning. He was very interested in the empty cookie plate and milk glass that Santa left. It took over a week to wean him off Santa Claus books. And when the Christmas lights came down, he kept asking for us to turn them on.

James really likes school too. He recites all his friends’ names before we go each morning. Cora, Keeton, Miles, Seth, Lea, Carson, and Ayla. And his teachers Ms. Dena and Brittany too. He learns so much and gains a lot of independence at school. Next month he starts potty training!

Baby Anna is growing and she should make her arrival in the first half of April. Probably between April 8-15. She’s moving around a lot. We can’t wait to meet her.

Yesterday we joined the minivan club and bought a 2013 Chrysler Town and Country. It’s very exciting! It’s fully loaded and low mileage. All we need are those stick figure decals!
